The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Center for Human Rights and Cultural Diversity, drawing upon the United Nations General Assembly Resolution on Human Rights and Cultural Diversity (A/RES/68/159), the Tehran Declaration on Human Rights and Cultural Diversity (2007), and other approved documents of the Non-Aligned Movement, announces a Call for Papers on “Artificial Intelligence, Human Rights, and Cultural Diversity.”
NAMCHRCD intends to further enrich literature on the concept of human rights and cultural diversity in the era of artificial intelligence, while providing a scientific and policy-oriented platform to institutionalize synergy in this field among NAM member states.
It further aims to identify possible solutions to emerging challenges posed by artificial intelligence (AI) within contemporary human rights frameworks. It also aims to provide a brainstorming discourse on the ways to harvest AI opportunities for enhancing south-south cooperation to further development of NAM member states towards welfare state model.
Noting the mission and vision of NAMCHRCD, as mentioned above, the purpose of publishing the 2nd Issue of NAM International Journal of Human Rights and Cultural Diversity (NAMIJHRCD) as the Intellectual Organ of NAMCHRCD, would be to tackle artificial intelligence challenges while promoting the responsible development and deployment of AI technologies in alignment with human rights principles.
